The objective is to provide a platform for performance by the talented young artists of the various Stellenbosch communities and first class entertainment at the River Festival.  Young artists enjoy the opportunity to perform on a formal equipped stage in front of a large crowd of people and being involved in a stage program that includes older, more established local artists as well. It is also ‘n platform for our older people so that the youth can be inspired to keep doing what they do and learn from our elders.  The concert program kicks off at 09:00 and runs to about 17:00, and included youth acts (solo-artists and groups) from Cloetesville, Kayamandi, Ida’s Valley, Jamestown, Vlottenburg as well as senior acts. The acts included singing, dancing and poetry.
