Ida’s Valley Heritage Exhibition 2018
Family Heirlooms, the Ida’s Valley Heritage Exhibition, was held in the Ida’s Valley Library during September. Family trees of various Ida’s Valley families were showcased in an effort to encourage other members of the community to delve into the past and learn more about their family’s origins and history. Mr Justin Newman, a very enthusiastic sleuth of family history who has done extensive research on his own family’s history, was guest speaker at a special tea for invited guests to the exhibition on 14 September. All the information collected on the families’ history will be made available to students and pupils for historical research purposes.
