e’Bosch Interfaith Dialogue
The Interfaith Dialogue, a project to encourage communication between diverse religious groups in Stellenbosch, was held at the US Museum on 13 September 2019. The event, organised by Cornelia Kirsten and facilitated by Llewellyn MacMaster, included a panel discussion between representatives of different faith traditions such as Khoi, Islam, Christian and Traditional African.
This event emphasised the need for more interfaith conversations in our communities to assist community building and a better understanding of one another’s religion and culture. The focus was on discovering shared values, not differences, and to promote social inclusion in such a way.
Participants came from Stellenbosch, Kayamandi, Ida’s Valley and the Cape Peninsula.
