The final workshop in preparation for the winter school holiday programme took place on 18 June, at Markotter Sports Complex.
Stakeholders and a record amount of 62 facilitators from 11 Dorpies attended this workshop, covering sport & recreation, and nature & adventure.
The event kicked off with facilitators Elize Bosman, Marie Louise van den Heever from the Voortrekkers and Eon Hendrikse from Idasvalley Community Trails, tackling the adventure and nature aspects of the programme.
Jose Cabral from the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport, and Luvuyo Nyamanda covered the sport and recreation aspects of the workshop.

Venue: Die Laer at Stellenbosch Voortrekkers
A Craft Expo held on 16 June (Youth Day) at Die Laer Venue (Stellenbosch Voortrekkers served as the fourth workshop, being arts and crafts.
Stakeholders and 49 facilitators from 10 Dorpies attended the expo/holiday workshop in the sharpening of skills ahead of the upcoming winter school holiday.
The event kicked off with John Frans, the e’Bosch School Choir Festival director for 2022, who led the participants in song and taught them the United Light e’Bosch song, composed by Xander Krizinger.
Doreen Hayes and 8 crafters from the various e’Bosch dorpies showcased their products and transferred their skills to the attendees of the dorpies of Ida’s Valley, Kayamandi, Vlottenburg, Devon Valley, Cloetesville, Jamestown, Raithby, Wemmershoek, Stellenbosch Cetral and Klapmuts.
The expo was organized by Pricilla Visser & Granville Carlson who invited the e’Bosch 2021 Talent Fest artists including Clayton Apollis, Lucian de Koker, and Lee-ron Maart; The Kayamandi Traditional Dance Group under the directorship of Siyabonga Mini’s Smart Mission Entertainment. The artist known as Roswill, and Granville Carlson finished off the entertainment segment with the overall message that spoke to “a future desirable identity of a positive vision for each person”, says Dr. Sias Mostert, director of e’Bosch Heritage Project.

On the 11 June 2022, stakeholders and 55 facilitators from 11 Dorpies attended the third workshop ahead of the winter school holiday. The theme was Music & Movement and Making of a Musical instrument. Danell Muller from Dept Music, Stellenbosch University, facilitated the Music and Movement and the instruments was done by well-known artist Hilton (son of Tony) Schilder and his team.

On 4 June 2022, stakeholders and 44 facilitators from 11 Dorpies attended the second workshop ahead of the upcoming winter school holiday. This workshop was held at Markotter Sports Complex.
It was facilitated by Robert Hindley, graduate of Dept Drama at Stellenbosch University and members of the e’Bosch 2021 Talent Search Finalists, with the eye on sharpening drama skills and preparing for a Winter Wonderland Showcase that will take place at the end of the school holiday, 22 July 2022 in the Stellenbosch Town Hall.
