Kylemore Imbali Flower Arrangement Demonstration 2018
On 28 September 2018 Imbali Western Cape, a NPO very active in Kylemore, sponsored a flower arrangement demonstration and a tea party for senior citizens in the VGK Hall as part of e’Bosch heritage activities in this dorpie. Sandra Malan and her enchanting young daughter, Lara, conjured up magical flower arrangements that fascinated the audience.
Child Art Exhibition: On 29 September Imbali held a child Art Exhibition at the Frank’s Haven Crèche, in the Fredagh and Bernard Podlashuk Art Centre in Kylemore. The exhibition was officially opened by Mr Nelis Koegelenberg, principal of PH Olivier Art Centre, who spoke highly of the standard of the children’s art at the centre. It was a wonderful display of art produced by artistically talented learners under the inspiring instruction of five very dedicated professional art teachers.

Kylemore Erfenisprojekte 2017

Kylemore Imbali September 2016
Learners who attend the Imbali Visual Literacy Programme in Kylemore are already working enthusiastically on their art pieces to be exhibited at the 2016 e'Bosch Child Art Exhibition, which will launch on Friday, 16 September in Kylemore. This will be the second successive exhibition by learners from Kylemore, Pniël , Johannesdal, Lanquedoc and Simondium after their successful launch at the Fredagh & Bernard Art & Educare Centre in Kylemore during Heritage Month, September last year. The project is managed by Jeanne Bestbier Bloch and will be staged again at the same centre during September this year.
The Visual Literacy project addresses the need to provide a structured and meaningful program that enhances the visual literacy education of the children in Kylemore and surrounding towns. It is the Imbali project organizers' conviction that constructive structured and creative intervention (especially in the form of art workshops) leads to a renewed interest in learning, as well as to a radical development in self-esteem, that may change the course of young lives which are currently at serious risk.
