e'Bosch Tube Race 24 September 2016

The Eerste River tube race has fast flowing rapids and narrow channels that make for very exciting tubing. The tube race starts at the same venue as the canoe race and takes the tubers approximately 3kms along an exhilarating section of river through Stellenbosch. There will be river marshals along the river ensuring safety to all participants. The koshuis (residence) category of the tube race guarantees a large amount of student participation with supporters lining the river banks through Stellenbosch.

PLEASE NOTE: We are experiencing a drought in Western Cape for the last two year's and this event will only take place if good rains fall before the 24 Septembter. A final announcement will be made on Wednesday, 21 September if this is to take place.

Hierdie gewilde item sal net ná die aanvang van die kano-resies plaasvind, by die Hangbrug begin en by die Rivierfees-terrein in Die Laan eindig. Die baan is ongeveer 3km lank en wentel deur snel-vloeiende kanale in Stellenbosch se middedorp. Veiligheidsbeamptes is oral aan diens om seker te maak dat dit veilig is vir alle deelnemers. 'n Groot aantal koshuise neem gewoonlik deel terwyl die korporatiewe afdeling voorsiening maak vir oorspronlikheid en spangees bou. 

LET WEL: Weens die droogte in die Kaap, mag hierdie item dalk nie plaasvind. Dit sal slegs gebeur indien goeie reëns voor die tyd val. 'n Finale aankondiging sal op Woensdag, 21 September, gedoen word.
